Terms & Conditions

At Hume Executive Search Ltd, we aim to make the recruitment process clear, professional, and supportive from start to finish. These terms explain how we work with clients, including fees, guarantees, cancellations, confidentiality, and data protection.
By engaging Hume Executive Search, you (“the Client”) agree to these terms, giving clarity and confidence throughout the process. They form a binding agreement between the Client and Hume Executive Search Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 07779398).
Our Services
We provide executive search services, including sourcing, screening, and presenting qualified candidates. Optional support such as interview guidance, offer negotiation, onboarding, coaching, or executive support may also be offered. Any additional services must be agreed in writing and may incur extra fees.
Fees & Payment
Fees are agreed in writing. Invoices are payable within 15 days unless otherwise specified. Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate plus reasonable recovery costs.
Guarantee
If a search does not result in an appointment, we will repeat the search at no extra charge. If a candidate leaves within six months (except due to restructuring or changes in role), we will repeat the search charging only for expenses and advertising, provided invoices have been paid on time.
Cancellations
Assignments can be cancelled at any time. Stages due for payment at cancellation, plus the next stage, are payable. If a shortlist has been presented, the full fee is payable. Assignments on hold for over 90 days are treated as cancelled; a new fee will be negotiated if restarted.
Confidentiality & Candidate Information
All candidate information is obtained lawfully and remains confidential. Clients must use this information only for recruitment purposes and not share it without written consent. Both parties agree to keep all sensitive or proprietary information confidential.
Non-Solicitation
Clients must not directly or indirectly employ or engage any candidate introduced by Hume Executive Search Ltd within 12 months of introduction unless agreed in writing. Full placement fees apply in such cases.
Intellectual Property
All reports, shortlists, and materials remain the intellectual property of Hume Executive Search Ltd and may only be used for the specific recruitment assignment.
Termination
Either party may terminate the engagement with written notice. Fees for services provided up to termination remain payable.
Liability
Our total liability is limited to fees paid by the Client in the 12 months prior to any claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses.
Data Protection
We comply with UK GDPR and other applicable data protection laws. Candidate data is processed according to our [Privacy Policy].
Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemics, or government restrictions.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be referred to UK arbitration under ACAS rules.
