I started working in executive search 28 years ago—around the same time my parents moved to Dubai—and I’ve been travelling between the UK and the UAE ever since. Over the years, I’ve watched the country grow and change in incredible ways, and right now, the energy in the education sector feels especially exciting. There are so many inspiring schools opening and expanding, full of ambition and purpose.

In conversations with education leaders across the UAE, a clear theme keeps coming up: too many leadership changes, too often. It’s hard to build momentum when senior leaders—especially Heads and Principals—don’t stay long enough to make a real difference.

That’s why I have teamed up with Jenny Dwyer, a brilliant former colleague of mine from Saxton Bampfylde, and a former school Headteacher herself. Together, we’ve launched Hume Executive Search to provide trusted executive search and recruitment services that help schools in the region find and support exceptional Principals and senior leaders—people who bring vision, stay the course, and make a lasting impact.

We are a small team with big experience. We have worked on hundreds of appointments between us and we’re closely involved in every search we take on.
